The Brain Center partners with schools, service groups, childcare providers, summer programs, and other youth-serving agencies in providing its Youth Education and Outreach Programs. Programs are specifically designed for K-12th-grade students. Interactive activities focus on making brain health fun, promoting neuroscience, encouraging life-long healthy choices, and promoting key ways to protect our amazing brains.

Curriculum educates on the Brain Center’s 6 Pillars of Brain Health. Outcomes include an appreciation for our amazing brains and youth knowing how to perform at their best.

Awareness and adoption of brain-healthy strategies promote academic performance, emotional stability, mental wellness, injury prevention, and overall personal well-being.

Curriculum also instills a growth mindset. When kids put forward the effort to learn strategies to help them get better at things, they feel empowered and try harder. When they know their brains are capable of growing, they are more confident and resilient. Mistakes are ok, they help us rewire our brains!

In order to remove barriers, the Brain Center does not charge for its Youth Education and Outreach Programs. Help us increase the opportunities for more local children to participate!
