Since 1993, Young Women’s Freedom Center has been a transformative force, impacting the lives of over 40,000 young people and their families. Through leadership development and community-driven initiatives, we’ve empowered countless individuals to create lasting change in their communities.

While we’ve made tremendous progress in our mission to end the incarceration, violence, and poverty of young women and trans youth in California, the journey is far from over. Achieving our vision of Freedom 2030 requires bold action and the creation of real alternatives.
