TEACHERS

The PTO recognizes our excellent staff and teachers by providing snacks and treats for meetings and appreciation week, as well as special project financing special teacher requests.

STUDENTS

The PTO provides opportunities for fellowship and activities for students, including Haunted Hallway, McMurray Field Day and Popcorn Fridays.

FAMILIES

We support Vashon families by creating activities they can enjoy together, as well as building relationships with parents through meetings and volunteerism.

THE BENEFITS OF AN ACTIVE PTO

Joining the PTO keeps families informed about their child's school life and allows them to contribute to their child's learning experience. The Vashon PTO offers an opportunity for parents to be involved in their child's education and community. It also creates a sense of community by connecting parents with one another. The Vashon PTO hosts speakers teach families about communication, parenting skills, understanding their child's learning style, community resources, and building strong parent-child relationships.
