Local Boys Aim to Play 1200 Holes of Golf for Charity

(Milton, Wisconsin) -- Working to break their record of playing over 1000 combined holes for charity in one day, the Weiss and Wieland brothers -- Alex (18) and Luke (15) Weiss, Brett (17) and Kade (14) Wieland -- will attempt to play 300 holes each (1200 holes total) in 15 hours in one day to benefit the Wisconsin PGA Junior Foundation (WPGA Foundation) and PGA REACH /HOPE. The last time they teed it up in 2021, they had 1090 total holes -- aiming for 210 more this year.

“We are excited to play all these holes with the goal of fundraising so other kids have opportunities to play golf too,” said Kade Wieland.

“We have upped the challenge this year to over 300 holes each since we had some remaining sunlight last time. This personal challenge has become one of our favorite days of the year. Any size donation is greatly appreciated and will go a long way to provide opportunities for these kids who otherwise may not have them,” said Brett Wieland.

“As a graduating senior, I can look back and appreciate the educational and golf-related opportunities the Wisconsin PGA Junior Foundation (WPGA Foundation), has given to me and hundreds of junior golfers in the state. In addition to golf, it has given us lifelong friendships and skills that go well beyond the game of golf,” said Alex Weiss.

“This year we are also raising money for the PGA REACH/HOPE program. HOPE stands for Help Our Patriots Everywhere and is a program to help veterans with disabilities improve their mental and physical health through the game of golf,” said Luke Weiss.

Over the past few years, these golfers have raised over $10,000 for the WPGA Foundation and they hope to raise an additional $5K this year.
