We are faced with a shortfall in funding. We lost $1 million in Federal dollars. In addition to the requests being made to the local philanthropic community we are also reaching out to individuals like you to sustain the program that was previously funded by Early Head Start program funds. The real impact of this decision is that 54 children from socio-economically disadvantaged families will have to leave our school if we are not able to raise the necessary funds to fill in this gap.

In addition to disrupting a nurturing environment that fosters intellectual, creative, social, emotional, and physical development, we are disrupting care that our families depend on to provide stability in their daily lives.

Your investment today is an investment for the future. For every dollar invested in quality early-childhood education for socio-economically disadvantaged children, thirteen dollars is saved in future hard costs to the community and immeasurable in-tangible costs of crime and poverty are saved each year. SEL needs support from the community to help make up this shortfall while we work to achieve additional financial sustainability for years to come.
