Fatty liver disease is common, often silent, and widely misunderstood — fewer than 1 in 10 people with fatty liver know they have it. Delays in diagnosis and lack of culturally relevant guidance lead to preventable progression to cirrhosis, liver cancer, and transplant. LEA fills this gap with trusted, plain-language education and community partnerships.

LEA is on a mission to prevent advanced liver disease by educating communities that are most at risk. Founded by liver cancer and transplant survivor Tony Villiotti, along with his caregiver wife Betsy Villiotti, LEA's patient-founded leadership drives authentic, patient-centered programming and delivers bilingual education, trusted community outreach, and early-detection programming that turns knowledge into action.
