Story

We are who we are because people invested their influence in our lives.

In preparation for our upcoming Table Project (www.thetableproject.org) ,  which utilizes purposed conversations and encouragement to engage our clients to better utilize the resources of our partnering agencies;
we're asking:

Who Influenced You?

For the Month of November,  we are seeking donations and sponsorships in honor of the people who made a significant impact in your life.

Who were the people who helped you along your way?  The people, when you fell, helped you up-dusted you off-and loved you back on track?

We want to honor the people who invested their influence in our lives and helped us become who we are today.

That's what The Table Project is all about;  helping others find the resources they need to become the healthiest versions of themselves.

So,  as you donate,  please share the name of the person you'd like to say "Thank you" to;   and honor with The Neighborhood's Gratitude Challenge.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors provides partnering agencies, advocates, and volunteers a central facility and assists with collaborative programming which is needed to serve the community’s at risk, in need, and displaced citizens.

With multiple nonprofits located together in a common location, The Neighborhood can facilitate access to services and help meet the needs of families served. The Neighborhood routinely serves hundreds of people daily.

The Neighborhood was formed in 2002 to ultimately provide a centralized facility where nonprofit agencies could serve the needs of  low income individuals with basic assistance. In 2004, land and a building was purchased on Central Avenue in Ashland, KY and work began to determine how it could be refurbished to best serve the mission’s objectives. By 2007, structural repairs and improvements were completed and the interior spaces for CAReS and River Cities Harvest were operational. In 2011, The Dressing Room’s new space was completed. In early 2012, Ashland Community Kitchen joined; and in 2013, Clean Start was opened for showers, general mail, and hygiene supplies.
