My wife was a heart/double lung transplant recipient in 1989 and then in 1999 received a kidney from her younger sister. Nancy survived 18 years because of two donors, one deceased and one living. She was able to attend 4 transplant games and participate as an 'athlete'!
As a caregiver and advocate for organ donation, I am raising money to help other recipients. donor families and living donors to experience the excitement of participating in this multi-sport event, and to share their stories with others by attending the Transplant Games.
