Overlay, Inc. is a non-profit arts organization working to elevate the ozark region’s arts & culture opportunities for artists and for community members by generating competitively paid artist projects, by providing the region with a unique and entertaining bespoke festival event to attend, and by providing the community with professionally installed and maintained public art installations.

Founded in the Midwest by a visual artist and creative director, we have big impact on our mind in the Ozark region. Long term goals include establishing a world class public art residency program in the Midwest as well as opening an art gallery focused on contemporary arts.

To lay the groundwork for this cultural growth in our region, Overlay is focused on building and hosting a bespoke, bi-annual large scale art & culture festival event that includes public murals painted live alongside live music from local, regional, and nationally acclaimed artists. Our debut festival occurred in 2022 and included 8 murals painted live by 10 visual artists, (2) stages with 15+ bands and DJs, a mammoth custom silo light show via image mapping art, vendors, custom cocktail lounges, immersive alley artwork activations, and more. Artists and musicians were curated from local, regional, and national areas for an event that celebrated community near and far.

We are thrilled to announce that our event will return on October 3&4, 2025 and we are actively fundraising to support this effort! Funds raised will directly support festival efforts and providing fair pay to muralists, artists and musicians performing during the event. We are proud to a non profit. All proceeds of event revenue funnel directly back into the organization and event to develop programming and continue to elevate the experience of our major event.
