Story

Please join us virtually on December 3rd as we celebrate over 25 years of protecting diversity, beauty and the importance of wild ocean places. The program features our special guest Ian Shive and clips from his spectacular underwater IMAX film Hidden Pacific along with other ocean luminaries, a silent auction, and raffle prizes.

Feeling fancy? Come dressed in your oceanic finest--whether glamorous or whimsical, whether you're wearing it or your dog is--and post your fashion pictures to our shared folder for a chance to win an ocean-themed prize!

We'll also be celebrating our NEWEST Blue Park (to be announced!) with our very own Blue Sparkle cocktail. Join our celebrity mixologist Duskie Estes at 4:30 for pre-event instructions for crafting your own cocktail to enjoy while the gala unfolds. Here are the ingredients you'll need:

1/2 lime
1/2 oz blue curacao
1/2 oz st. germaine
1 oz. gin
3 oz sparkling wine
Optional garnishes: dehydrated lime slice, a few jewels of a finger lime, edible glitter on the rim, floating borage flowers.

Your gift will go far this year--any donations will be doubled by our board match. And in the days leading up to the gala, the first 50 friends to donate $50 or more will receive a limited-edition hand-crafted whale from Happy Little Whales (U.S. addresses only, please).

-Ian Shive’s extraordinary new book “Refuge,” which crystallizes years of exploration in America’s national wildlife refuge system.

-The signed art photo book “Between Worlds” – a stunning collaboration between international award-winning photographer Henthorne and EarthScape artist Andres Amador, whose canvases for the project were wide expanses of beach at low tide.
