Zepp Wellness: A Call For Collective Action!

At Zepp Wellness and the Equitable Care Certification (ECC), anti-capitalism is a core value. This means we prioritize connection, care, and community over profit. For the past six years, we’ve worked tirelessly to make our services accessible to all, offering free therapy, support groups, education and more to Black trans folks, sex workers and survivors of abuse.

We’ve invested in the community through our Run Me My Coin Fund, providing $500 in housing assistance directly to Black trans femme sex workers.

And our mission of moving from an anti-capitalist lens has enabled mental health professionals (like therapists, peer support specialists, doulas and more) to access ECC’s training through scholarships, totaling over $150,000 in free education to healers who will offer care from an anti-oppressive lens. Additionally, a portion of the revenue ECC has generated goes directly to sex workers, indefinitely.

We need your support to continue this work and ensure that our services remain accessible. We need collective action. Help us keep these programs alive by donating. Your contribution will ensure that we can continue to provide care, resources and education.

Our Programs

At Zepp Wellness, we are a sex worker-led and sex worker-serving organization committed to providing compassionate, equitable and trauma-informed support!

Run Me My Coin Fund

We offer a $500 monthly housing fund through the Run Me My Coin Fund that’s exclusively for Black trans femme sex workers. We’ve disbursed $6,000 annually for six years through the Run Me My Coin Fund and hope to increase this amount to address the intensified need under the current administration.

Sex Worker Support Group

Our Sex Worker Support Group is a safer space for femme-identified sex workers (gender identity is not policed) to engage in community healing and mutual support. We’ve offered this group monthly since Zepp Wellness opened in 2019 and we hope to add a second support group to accommodate more clients.

Sex Working-Therapist Support Group

We also offer a Sex Working-Therapist Support Group for sex workers who are also therapists. This dual identity creates unique challenges and this support group serves as a space to receive support rooted in shared experiences where attendees can also brainstorm best practices for navigating the work. We’ve offered this support group through ECC on a monthly basis for three years and plan to continue at this pace.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Zepp Wellness & the Equitable Care Certification (ECC) offer Trauma-Informed Therapy from an abolitionist lens, incorporating EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process and heal from trauma. Since 2019, we’ve offered free therapy to 90 clients, however, we paused this program in 2023 due to lack of funding. We hope to re-open this program and make free therapy available to the hundreds of sex worker clients on our waitlist.

The Equitable Care Certification

ECC is a 12-course training program designed for therapists & mental health providers who wish to work effectively with sex worker clients. Mental health professionals learn about the difference between trafficking & sex work; decriminalization; abolition & anti-carceral therapy practices; how whorephobia impacts mental health; and more. Through ECC, we’ve trained 112 mental health professionals and disbursed over $21,000 to sex workers, as a portion of our revenue gets disbursed to sex workers, indefinitely.
