URGENT FOR OUR SWEET ZERO 🚨

Today our girl Zero is heading into surgery at Timberland Veterinary Hospital for an exploratory procedure to try to determine what is causing the severe swelling around her neck.

A few days ago we started treatment after initial diagnostics unfortunately did not give us many answers. We hoped medications and time would help calm things down.

Instead… the swelling has continued to worsen and is now she is struggling to breathe.

At this point, surgery is the next step. We need answers, and more importantly, Zero deserves to be comfortable.

One of the toughest realities in rescue is balancing your heart with the financial side of emergency medical care. This morning we had the conversation about costs, risks, and how quickly situations like this can drain rescue funds. The estimate for Zero’s surgery and care is currently just over $3,000.

Truthfully, there was never really a moment where giving up on her felt like an option. She looked at us trusting us to help her, struggling to breathe, and we knew we had to try.

So that’s what we’re doing today. We’re trying. For her.
