Maher “Mother's Home” was founded in 1997 by Sister Lucy Kurien. Maher provides shelter and care to women in crisis, supportive homes to children and disabled adults, and extensive grassroots projects in communities focused on women's empowerment, sustainable financial growth, and education. Started as a single safe-home in Pune, Maher now serves thousands in seven Indian states. Maher is an interfaith, caste-free haven of hope where “Love is Our Religion.”
