Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church has been serving the community of Rahway, NJ since 1852! Zion Lutheran is an inclusive community that welcomes all people as Jesus Christ did.  We are a Reconciling in Christ Church which means we are welcoming and affirming of LGBTQIA+ people.  We have deep ties to our community and have operated a homeless shelter in the church as well as an occasional emergency shelter for over a decade.   

We worship on Sundays at 10am in person and online, have Sunday School each week with amazing kids, have fellowship time after service on Sundays, host Bible Studies on Tuesdays at 7:30pm, have partnered with several non-profits to assist with homelessness in our community as well as address state-wide faith based community organizing in the areas of immigration, anti-racism, healthcare, voter turnout, and basic human rights, we distribute food to our community, and serve as a meeting place for people to get together and build community together.
