Since founding the ConversationS all of the annual conferences, Just Clothes storage needs, and most bonus programming have graciously been accommodated by Congregation Ner Shalom. This is part of our efforts to give back. (Plus contribute to more welcoming spaces in Prince William County!)

The ConversationS began as a single conference created by our founder, Era Cathey (She/They). Her goal was to provide a space in which TNGD (Transgender, Nonbinary, and Gender diverse) folks could work with their allies to present and discuss information about TNGD identities and lives with a decreased risk of encountering harm or misinformation. In planning this initial event, The ConversationS 2023, Era partnered with Amy Cannon (She/Her) of Equality Prince William, Simcha Waleli (They/Them, Ask), and Percy Brooks (He/It/Thon).
