We are excited to have you join us for our "Unboxing the Archives: Entering a New Era of the Austin History Center" Grand Re-Opening event tomorrow, Sunday, December 7th, 2025! Please review the following important details to ensure you are fully prepared:

Date: Tomorrow, Sunday, December 7th, 2025

Time: Ceremony 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM | Open House 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Location: John Henry Faulk Building, 800 Guadalupe St., Austin, TX 78701 (google map location)

The Ceremony from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM is open to all, and we would love for everyone in attendance to be a part of a ribbon-cutting photo. Let's celebrate together by making this the best community photo of the year!

Please note - the Live Screen Printed Commemorative Posters will only be available from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM during the Open House section of the program.

Parking & Transportation

Please do not enter or park in the lot of the Austin History Center

Street Parking (all spots in the vicinity are free on Sundays): Available along Guadalupe St., San Antonio St., 8th St., 9th St., and more

Transit: The Austin History Center bus stop is served by the 1, 3, 801, and 803 CapMetro bus stops, and lets off directly in front of the John Henry Faulk Building. While there is ample street parking nearby, we always encourage alternative forms of transportation!

Paid Garage Parking, No Validation: Entrance off Guadalupe St. across the Austin History Center Campus.
