The Coast Fork Farm Stand is seeking financial assistance to continue its journey. This year has been a rollercoaster for Scott, and the community support received so far with the move and other challenges has been incredible. So many folks have stepped up to give what they can to solidify a viable and sustainable future for the Farm Stand and the Co-op/Market vision.

With Center For Rural Livelihoods operating as an umbrella organization for the Steering Committee, we have been working to develop a Food Co-op, as well as expand the Farm Stand into a public market model. This aligns with CRL's work in building an equitable economy based on ecological generation. Additional partnerships have been developing with local and regional entities to provide technical support and stable funding for business development and growth. One of the several upsides of the recent move and sustainable vision has been a dedicated team of volunteers representing several nonprofits and community initiative gathering regularly to make this happen.

The Steering Committee is optimistic that the community vision for the Coast Fork Public Market will be realized, and the future looks bright, but there are a number of hurdles to get over in the next few months, including significantly higher rent and utilities costs. We are asking for your donations to support this amazing resource that we all love and appreciate.

Your donations will assist in funding:

Increased rent & utility cost in the larger space as we work to bring in additional vendors over the next few months
Fees & expenses related to business expansion and food co-op development

Much has been accomplished so far to keep and grow our Market, and while nothing in life is guaranteed, the possibilities being actively pursued are exciting, invigorating and inspiring. The journey continues, and despite challenges along the way we are working together to realize this vision for downtown Cottage Grove. We are working hard to purchase a downtown center for the public market that will have long term benefit to the community, to small producers, and to Main St. Your help getting the Coast Fork Farm Stand/Public Market/Co-op through these months are critical to the long term viability of this vision.
