Tahoe Truckee School of Music’s objective is to foster a robust and vibrant community by bringing the transformative power of music to as many people as possible. For the past 14 years, we have poured our hearts and souls into crafting a music school that transcends basic music instruction. Our vision is one that weaves the tapestry of music into the very fabric of our community. And, through the support of our patrons, that vision has taken root and bloomed into a vibrant music community. Here, musicians, students & their families, and instructors alike find a haven of solidarity, support, and boundless potential for growth.

A Truckee parent recently shared, "My 14-year-old daughter has been involved with Tahoe Truckee School of Music for years. When she was invited to perform at one of their Open Mic events, her confidence swelled as she realized she was capable of almost anything. She has since participated in other live performances put on by the School which are shaping her self-confidence at a critical stage in her emotional development, and a time when social pressure to conform is heavy. The Tahoe Truckee School of Music community provides so much support which gives her a sense of belonging and acceptance."

How Your Donation Benefits Tahoe-Truckee Youth

Donations made to our year end giving campaign will support the music school's youth scholarship program. Your support will help us provide music education to youth that may not be able to afford lessons otherwise. At Tahoe Truckee School of Music, our commitment extends to addressing the unique needs of underserved populations. We believe that every individual, regardless ofbackground or circumstance, deserves the opportunity to experience the joy and magic of music. A portion of your donation will help fund scholarships. Every $60 dollars raised provides 1 hour of music instruction to one child.
A small percentage of donations made to our year end giving campaign will support year-round community concerts. Thanks to your support, our students receive private music instruction AND have numerous opportunities to perform in the school's year-round community concerts that provide opportunities to shape and build confidence, self-esteem, and community. Our live music partnerships include Made in Tahoe Festival, Truckee Thursdays, Music in The Park, and many more. A small portion of your donation will help make year-round community concerts possible by helping with the rising costs of putting on events.
