Riya and her sister Risha have been training in the classical Indian dance form Bharatanatyam for over eight years. They are now preparing to graduate to the professional level, and are celebrating this milestone with a special recital on August 17 at the Ayer Shirley Regional High School Auditorium.
During the recital, the girls will present multiple dance pieces accompanied by a live orchestra of professional musicians. It promises to be a vibrant celebration of their hard work, passion, and dedication.
As gratitude for their blessings and to the love and support they have received, the girls have chosen this opportunity to give back. Riya, a student at the Joy of Music Program (JOMP), a community music school in Worcester, MA, would like to raise awareness and support for JOMP. JOMP's Associate Director Caroline Reiner-Williams will be in attendance to share some brief words on JOMP's impact on the community and commitment to accessible music education for all.
Thank you for your support of Riya, Risha, and the arts in our community!
