ALT NEEDS YOUR HELP TO KEEP LIVE THEATRE.... ALIVE!

Across the nation, arts organization are fighting to survive in a challenging cultural and financial landscape.  For many, including Albuquerque Little Theatre, the obstacles are just difficult... they are existential.

ALT is no stranger to adversity. We;ve weathered nearly a century of change, and we emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic with cautious optimism, and renewed energy.  But just as we began to regain our footing, disaster struck. our aging HVAC system failed, and structural deterioration in the theatre's ceiling. We've been forced to make difficult decisions to ensure safety and comfort -- decisions that now threaten our very survival.

This crisis comes on the heels of one of the most artistically and financially successful seasons we've seen in years.  And yet, even that is not enough to carry us through.  ALT, now in its 96th year, is at a crossroads. 

We are reaching out - not with fear, but with fierce hope.  Hope that our community, the one that has sustained us for generations, will rise once more to protect this cultural cornerstone.  ALT's staff and Board are fighting every day to preserve the theatre you know and love. But we cannot do it alone. 

As part of our new "Theatre Needs a Hero -- Be Ours!" campaign, we urgently need to raise at least $100,000 to keep our doors open, to repair our beloved space, and to continue sharing the stories that bring us together.
