Every day is an outdoor day at Lakeside School. Children spend their days immersed in nature—exploring trails, observing wildlife, and attuning to the rhythms of the seasons. This immersive, outdoor-based approach fosters curiosity, resilience, independence, and deep respect for the land—the foundations of lifelong learning and growth.

But here’s the reality: we don’t charge families the full cost of educating a child—because if we did, we’d price out the community we are honored to serve. Even with reduced tuition, many families still need support to access quality care and education.

Over 70% of our students rely on either tuition assistance or county subsidies. Without that help, parents may be forced to leave the workforce, and children lose access to the enriching, outdoor-based learning they deserve.

Tuition assistance doesn’t just support students—it keeps families working, classrooms full, and our school sustainable. It brings in diverse voices and helps cover essential costs like teacher salaries, insurance, and daily operations.

For the 2025–26 school year, we need to raise $25,000 to support families requesting tuition assistance—families who rely on childcare to keep working and providing for their households.
