Eye Need You: Doubling Our Impact

The Challenge We Face

At Eye Thrive, we believe that no child should struggle in school simply because they cannot see the board or read their books. For years, we have provided free vision screenings, eye exams, and prescription glasses to children in underserved communities—removing a critical barrier to their education and success. But now, the need for our services is greater than ever.

Recent changes in federal financial policies have created uncertainty in the healthcare sector, affecting funding for critical health programs that serve low-income families and children. While some funding sources remain intact, confusion over Medicaid access and disruptions in grant disbursements are leaving vulnerable communities with fewer resources. For families already facing financial hardship, these challenges make accessing essential health services, including vision care, even more difficult.

Why This Matters Now

For many of the children we serve, a pair of glasses is more than just improved sight—it’s the key to unlocking their full potential. With uncertainty surrounding healthcare funding, our work is at a turning point. Children who rely on Medicaid for vision care could face delays or barriers to receiving the help they need. Schools and community programs that have partnered with us to ensure children get their first pair of glasses may struggle with funding gaps that threaten their ability to provide basic health screenings.

Doubling Our Impact

Thousands of children are at risk of falling behind, and we can’t afford to wait. Eye Need You is more than just a campaign—it’s an urgent mission to ensure every child has the vision they need to thrive. This year, our goal of raising $100,000 will allow us to immediately double our impact this summer and prevent kids from navigating their world in a blur.

Thanks to a generous matching gift, every dollar raised will go twice as far—enabling us to reach more children, expand our mobile vision clinics, and provide more glasses to kids in need. With your help, we can:

Expand our reach by making twice as many visits to libraries and community centers
Distribute twice as many pairs of glasses to children who would otherwise go without
Reach more kids through our summer visits

How You Can Help

Your support is crucial. With every donation, you are ensuring that a child has the vision they need to succeed in school and beyond. Whether you contribute $5 to help keep our wheels rolling this summer or $10,000 to help fund an additional Mobile Vision Clinic visit, you are making a difference.

Together, we can double our impact and give more children the gift of clear sight.
