Your donations will go to P.E.A.C.E. – People Engaged in Active Community Efforts - a justice ministry made up of 27 congregations from throughout Palm Beach County, FL. After a process of discernment and research around commonly identified problems, PEACE holds an annual Nehemiah Action Assembly each Spring. They gather thousands of their members, and ask public officials to implement meaningful changes related to the problems upon which they are focusing; such as mental health, and affordable housing.

Founded in 1991, PEACE uses the power of large numbers of organized people to solve critical community problems. PEACE is not a direct service provider, but rather is a grassroots, direct action, multi-issue organization. Understanding that Micah 6:8 and other biblical texts require us to do justice, the organization brings these and other congregations together in order to powerfully address the systemic causes of injustices happening in our community.

UUFBR is a member congregation of PEACE, and your donations will help pay our annual dues of $1500.
