A memorial service for Kathryn King will be held

Tuesday, August 4 at 11:00 AM

at Memorial Baptist Church, 271 Leslie Campbell Avenue, Buies Creek, NC.

The service will be livestreamed at memorialbcnc.org.

A Celebration of Life will be planned soon in Pinehurst, NC.

Maxie lost the love of his life.

Kathryn was his best friend, his partner, and the heart of his world. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. The loss is immeasurable, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and this entire community.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Kathryn’s memory by making a donation to Maxie’s ALS Charitable. Continuing the fight against ALS was a cause close to their hearts, and your generosity will help carry on that mission while celebrating Kathryn’s beautiful legacy.

Founded by Maxie Gleaton, Maxie’s ALS Charitable is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. In 2025, Maxie faced a life-changing moment when the love of his life was diagnosed with ALS.
