Join us on March 29, 2026, to celebrate the launch of THRIVE: Ventura County — a countywide community photography exhibition exploring themes of hope, connection, and well-being across our region.

The opening reception will be held at the Kavli Theatre Lobby & Gallery at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center from 2 to 4 pm with hors d'oeuvres sponsored by Fogo de Chao and a live set by DJ Uncle Alex. Attendees will have the opportunity to view selected works from community photographers of all ages and backgrounds. Hear directly from featured photographers as they share the stories and moments behind their images — the connections, the joy, and the glimpses of thriving life that inspired their work. Come connect with fellow community members, celebrate the power of photography to foster belonging, and experience firsthand what it means to thrive in Ventura County.

Another exhibit with additional photos will be at "The Arterie" across the street from the Kavli Theatre from 3-6pm as well.

THRIVE: Ventura County is a collaboration between TOArts and SeeingHappy, supported by the VibeWell Ventura County Arts & Mental Health Grant Program. We hope to see you there!

TOArts’ core programs are:

TOArts Presents: offers a steady stream of culturally diverse, world-class entertainment in the crown jewel of Ventura County. From headline concerts to National Geographic speakers, comedians to folk music, there’s a TOArts Presents show for everyone.
Kids and the Arts: support arts exposure inside and outside of schools, and instills a connection to theatre in local youth by providing free tickets and transportation for students to enjoy live performances at BAPAC. Last school year, we brought over 6,800 students into the theatre to enjoy performances completely for free!
Dr. Raymond M. Olson Performing Grants: supports the dreams of local artists by subsidizing the cost of renting the theatre for local nonprofit performing arts groups.
AccessArts: supporting local school districts to provide equal access to high-quality sequential arts education to elementary schools.
Workforce Development: the Youth Arts Leadership Academy (YALA) and Creators Conservatory are programs aimed at developing well-rounded students and multi-hyphenate artists by providing basic life skills training and exploring various disciplines in the arts alongside top industry professionals. The Artist Incubator offers one-year of professional development for artists by connecting them with professional advisors, other artists and creatives to launch, solidify, or re-define their careers in the arts, with a focus on creative generation, financial sustainability, and entrepreneurial growth.
