The Black Derby Collective is the first all-Black WFTDA charter league, built to celebrate, represent, and empower Black skaters through bold leadership, visibility, and culture.

As a borderless league in the process of becoming nonprofit, we’re creating intentional community across distance—grounded in shared experience, mutual respect, and honest communication.

We operate with care, accountability, and collective responsibility, offering space for Black athletes to thrive without shrinking or code-switching.
