For much of our history, Voz has helped immigrant day laborers survive: responding to crises, confronting exploitation and uncertainty, and creating a place where workers can find safety, opportunity, connection, and community.

But survival has never been the end of the story.

Today, Voz is stabilizing, strengthening our foundation, investing in worker leadership, and creating new opportunities for workers to build long-term economic security and power. We are allowing ourselves — and our community — to dream bigger.

We dream of a future where every worker has access to dignified work, fair wages, safety, and belonging; where workers have the tools, skills, and confidence to shape their own lives and communities; and where those most impacted by injustice are leading the solutions.

As the only worker center serving day laborers in Oregon, Voz knows that the solutions to the challenges workers face already exist within our community. Every day, workers walk through our doors looking for opportunity and a chance to build something better for themselves and their families. In that process, they become leaders, educators, organizers, and advocates for one another.
