We are thrilled to invite you to a truly special evening with Rabbi Angela Buchdahl ’89, a beloved alumna of The Bronfman Fellowship, at The Jewish Museum on Monday, January 26.

This conversation between Angela and Becky Voorwinde, CEO of The Bronfman Fellowship, will be unlike any other on Angela’s book tour: a warm, wide-ranging dialogue rooted in shared history - exploring pluralism, identity, and belonging; the power of Jewish text and music; and how community can shape a life of leadership.

About Rabbi Angela Buchdahl
Angela’s time as a Bronfman Fellow was a pivotal chapter in her Jewish journey, one that helped shape her identity, deepen her love of Jewish learning, and ultimately set her on the path to becoming a rabbi. Today, she is the first Korean-American ordained as a rabbi and the senior rabbi of Central Synagogue in New York City, one of the largest and most influential congregations in the world.

Her acclaimed new memoir, Heart of a Stranger: An Unlikely Rabbi’s Story of Faith, Identity, and Belonging, is a New York Times bestseller and has been met with extraordinary praise. It tells the powerful story of finding one’s voice, one’s people, and one’s place in the Jewish story. In her memoir, Angela also chronicles her formative experience as a Bronfman Fellow.
