Bridging the Gap: A Call to Action for Our Community

In Gregg County, 44% of households struggle to make ends meet. Despite 28% of these households being employed, many find themselves in a precarious position, caught in the gap between the federal poverty line and a sustainable income. This year, Greater Longview United Way (GLUW) is proud to announce our campaign slogan, "Bridging the Gap," reflecting our commitment to supporting these families by funding vital programs that promote health, education, and financial stability.

Our efforts encompass 7 GLUW initiatives and 32 programs operated by 19 local agencies. These interconnected challenges require holistic solutions, and GLUW serves as a catalyst for change by uniting diverse sectors – business, government, health, and human services – to ensure that every member of our community has access to essential services for not just survival but thriving.

By joining us at the Kick-Off Luncheon, you are not just attending an event; you are participating in a movement. Your involvement symbolizes the power of collective efforts and community resilience. Whether through volunteering, fundraising, or donations, your contributions are the backbone of our mission.
