WHO WE ARE and WHAT WE DO

At Liberty CONNECTIONS, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable foundation, was established in early 2023 to help Brunswick County veterans and their families improve their quality of life. It is our mission to assist veterans uand others affected by trauma, by introducing them to the healing power of horses. Empirical studies suggest that veterans who participate in equine assisted programs frequently become more resilient, empowered, and engaged in a more connected and meaningful life. When veterans are thriving, they are less likely to have suicide ideation. Our Mission is to provide therapeutic, trauma-informed equine assisted services, within a safe and peaceful environment, which facilitate emotional healing and promote relationship building for those individuals and family members who have served our Country and our community. Our Goal is to assist Brunswick County veterans and their families to build greater and measurable resilience through stronger connections and relationships resulting from exposure to equine assisted activities.

We are an organization established by veterans, for veterans. We are committed to helping all veterans in crisis – live life to the fullest. Our mission is accomplished - one veteran at a time. We know you share our dedication to those who sacrificed so much while serving our Nation and defending our freedoms.
