Campaign Story

The Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts has stood as a beacon of opportunity and empowerment for over a century. Today, as we face a $250,000 budget gap, we are calling on our community to help us close that gap—not just to balance our books, but to fuel futures.

This summer, we’re launching a campaign to raise $150,000 to continue providing life-changing programs in workforce development, youth education, entrepreneurship, and health equity. These funds will allow us to sustain our most impactful services, expand access, and ensure no one is turned away because of financial barriers.

Why Now?

Across Eastern Massachusetts, families are still struggling with the economic aftershocks of the pandemic, inflation, and inequity. Young people are seeking direction. Job seekers need training and support. Entrepreneurs need coaching and capital. Our community needs us—and we need you.

We’ve seen what’s possible when we come together:
