From Torn Tents to Walls of Warmth:

Help Us Build a Sanctuary Against the Winter Cold

Behind these torn and weathered tents, there are families shivering in silence. For us, winter isn't a season of rain and beauty; it is a fierce enemy that invades our fragile shelters. Our tents are no longer enough to protect us from the biting frost or the drenching storms.

We have decided to stop waiting for miracles and start building our own 'Cabin of Hope' with our own hands. We aren't just building wooden walls; we are building dignity. We are searching for a single night of sleep without the rain leaking onto our heads.

We are not just asking for a donation; we are asking for partners in this journey of survival.

A Promise of Gratitude (The Wall of Names):

Because we believe that kindness should never be forgotten, we want everyone who lends us a hand to become a permanent part of our home. For every person who contributes even a single brick to this cabin, we will engrave your name on the 'Wall of Gratitude' inside our new home. Whenever we look at those names, we will remember that we are not alone in this world. Your names will be a symbol of the compassion that put a roof over our heads.

REBUILDING OUR FAMILY HOME

Before, our family had a beautiful home surrounded by a garden filled with grapevines, flowers and crops for our family. Olive trees behind our home gave fruit from which we would eat and make our olive oil. It was a place to gather in community with family and friends, with a gazebo I built and an arbor to rest under.

I, Salah, am a carpenter who studied business administration at university and had so much that I was grateful for. I had a beautiful life. All of that is now destroyed.

But just as our olive trees on the land are emerging once again from the stumps left amongst the rubble, my family is working hard to rebuild our home and replant our land.

We have now come back to our land, an area of Beit Lahia that was totally destroyed. We have been working each day to clear the rubble from our land, find what resources our family needs and start building our home once more.

Over the last year, I farmed my land and the farmland around me along side my dear friend, martyr Yousef Abu Rabee (May God have mercy on him) to grow food for our community in the starkest moments of starvation.

With your support and care, we will rebuild our loving family home and tend to the land that cares for us in return.
