Why Sista Brunch Matters

Sista Brunch is more than a podcast — it’s an archive, a celebration, and a community rooted in the brilliance of Black women and gender expansive creators in film, television, and media. Since 2019, we’ve shared over 100 hours of stories from across our industry — stories that rarely get preserved, uplifted, or properly resourced.

We’re now in production on Season 7, and we want to produce it with the quality our community deserves. That means professional studio recording, fair pay for our all-Black team, and the continued preservation of our guests’ stories for generations to come.

Our Funding Goal: $20,000 by December 31

This campaign helps us fully fund Season 7, including:

Recording + filming at a professional studio
Editing + sound mixing
A guest relations role with meaningful hospitality (SWAG, pre-production care)
A PR role to secure press + elevate our guests
Social media support to amplify each story
A community team to keep Sista Brunch alive between seasons
And MOST importantly: fair compensation for Black creatives working on the show
