Grounded in the Science of Reading and powered by the Orton-Gillingham approach, we are equipping public school educators with the tools, training, and coaching they need to transform reading outcomes—especially for our most vulnerable learners.

By investing in teachers, we ensure that all students—not just a few—receive the explicit, evidence-based instruction they need to succeed.

Your Gift Makes Transformation Possible:

$50,000 – Fund a Partner School
Provide comprehensive Orton-Gillingham training and yearlong coaching for Kindergarten through Second Grade teachers and Reading Intervention in a school, impacting hundreds of students and driving measurable literacy gains.

$5,000 – Fund a Teacher/ Transform a Classroom
Support the training and one year of coaching, including a practicum, for one educator.

$2,500 – Fund a Summer Scholar
Provide individualized, diagnostic, and prescriptive tutoring for a student identified as a pupil in poverty. This intensive summer support is offered through our partner schools.

$1,500 – Join the Literacy Leaders Circle
Become part of a philanthropic community committed to expanding literacy access in Charleston. Members receive updates, invitations, and special opportunities to engage with our work throughout the year. Your investment fuels teacher training and program expansion.

$500 – Provide Multisensory Materials
Equip teachers with high-quality materials that enhance instruction for all learners.

$150 – Sponsor Teacher Coaching Sessions
Fund a grade-level cohort coaching session with an OG coach. These sessions deepen content knowledge, sharpen instructional routines, and build strong implementation across an entire grade team.

$50 – Support a Teacher Training Toolkit
Cover the cost of a teacher’s required materials packet for training, ensuring educators have everything they need to begin their OG coursework.
