One decade ago, Code2040 launched to dismantle structural barriers in tech that prevent the full participation of Black and Latinx people. Over the past 10 years, we have built a human-centered, systems change approach to transform tech, mobilizing a people-powered movement to challenge white supremacy in the industry.

Since 2012, we've served over 1,000 tech professionals and partnered with 344 companies committed to growing their racial equity lens in the tech industry. Now we're working toward the next 10!

2040 is the decade when the United States will become majority BIPOC but we can’t wait until 2040 for full inclusion in the tech sector. Racial bias is coded into our systems everyday and layoffs responding to the recession will disproportionately impact Black and Latinx people.
