Calvary Chapel Island of Grace is not a building, person, or religious institution. It is a vibrant body of believers through whom God can work and be glorified in Long Island, New York. It is a place where people can meet Jesus.

CCIOG mixes traditional and contemporary, heartfelt worship, and relevant Bible study. We teach all of God’s Word verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book, through the entire Bible—simply teaching the Bible.

CCIOG is a casual and informal Long Island church. It is a local non-denominational Christian fellowship that welcomes all.

Though not a large church, we are MIGHTY, like the shepherd boy DAVID slaying Goliath. We take scripture seriously, which commands believers to care for the fatherless and widows.

CCIOG Outreach

God is the finisher and perfector of our faith. He ordains His people for good works that bring praise and glory to His mighty name. We are but humble servants.

All teams require multiple people to play various roles. A football team has a quarterback, a running back, and other players. Teams also need managers and traveling secretaries who manage where the team goes and prepare it for its arrival, as well as owners who provide the financial backing that gives the team the resources it needs. We are no different and provide opportunities for our church family to become part of our greater team through giving and empowering our servant organization under the Lord.

Uganda Mission

Every May, we support a teen camp that has grown over the years, giving the children who attend the opportunity to receive spiritual enrichment and guidance. In May 2024, 175 teens received their very first Bible. Through this week-long camp experience, the children have a chance to have time away to play sports and have fun with each other with multiple daily Bible studies. The children's lives do not include vacations like in the United States, so this camp provides great Christian fellowship and cultural expressions representing their heritage.

We work with the Widowed / Single Parent Tailoring Ministry at Calvary Chapel Entebbe, Uganda. They empower their widowed and single parents to become self-sufficient and provide for their families. Through this ministry, men and women are taught through classes how to make African crafts and jewelry, tailor clothing and bags, and create items they can sell to generate an income. Unlike the United States, education is not free in Uganda. This has allowed every child in the ministry's family to get an education.

In our 14 years of missions to Entebbe, we have brought hundreds of Bibles, put the word of God in their hands, and held regular Bible studies while on the mission. Your tax-deductible gift would allow us to plan a missions trip in 2025 to bring more Bibles and provide Bible Study to the people of Uganda.

We started GFifty:20 as a basketball and Bible study outreach in South Florida. The young men of the community live in extremely violent and desperate conditions. Almost all are in fatherless homes. They live with violence and its repercussions every day. Through the ministry of GFifty:20, we have held multiple kinds of outreaches for almost 15 years. Click here to learn more about GFifty:20

Basketball and Bible Study - South Florida

We host a Bible and Basketball camp in South Florida for boys aged kindergarten through high school. We rent a gymnasium and provide 2 to 3 days of basketball drills, competitions, and small and large group Bible studies. Your tax-deductible assistance allows us to bring the Lord to these young men through their love of basketball!

Summer Camp PA / Work Camp NY

Young men from the Basketball and Bible Study outreach in South Florida can attend a Christian camp in Pennsylvania for a week in August. The older boys are eligible for a work camp in upstate New York. The families cannot afford the cost of airfare, lodging, food, or transportation for their children. God has blessed us in that we have been able to provide camp for the young men for FREE. This is a life-changer for these boys and their families! Your tax-deductible gift allows us to bring more and more children out of the violent streets and show them life that they have never seen or experienced before. This camp experience is a life-changer for the young men.

Many at-risk young men have gone through the program and are thriving today with their families, businesses, and bright futures.

Local Long Island Children's Outreach

Calvary Chapel Island of Grace provides Thanksgiving meals, Christmas toy outreach, and Trunk-or-Treat fall festivities. We also have our Awana Kids Club and Children's Bible School each Sunday. Pastor Kevin Henesy has been a Nassau County Corrections Center Chaplain for 39 years. We hold bi-weekly services and weekly Bible studies for incarcerated men and women. In addition, we have a thriving food pantry that impacts local families and helps local ministries.
