The Healing Stone Crusade began as one artist's quiet rebellion.

Kristen Winn had been drawing intricate designs on stones for nearly a decade as a way to grieve, to ground, and find stillness in a loud world. When the 2024 election further fractured an already divided country, she asked herself not just what she could do, but what WE could do.

She could make art. We could connect across the miles.

This was the origin of The Healing Stone Crusade. A bold, beautifully simple act of faith in human connection. The crusade was (still is!) open to everyone. Every age, every race, every gender, every nationality. The only requirement: a belief in connection and desire for empowerment. The goal: to place a hand-made Healing Stone in the hands of 1,000 people around the world by the end of 2025. No algorithm. No ad spend. Just art, intention, and snail mail. On the first full moon of 2026, the 1,000th stone was gifted in Osa, Costa Rica, completing a constellation of connection across 39 states and 26 countries.

The Healing Stone recipients span cultures, generations, languages, abilities, faiths, gender identities, and economic backgrounds. This diversity is carried intentionally into our celebrations, welcoming the full spectrum of human experience, where an elder in rural Washington and a climate activist in Costa Rica are equally at home, equally seen, and equally celebrated.

Now it's time to gather.

The 1,000 Connections Celebration will bring Healing Stone Crusaders and connectors (that's you!) together for a shared guided meditation anchored by personal healing stones, a sound bath/drumming experience, and labyrinth dance party. A moment of joy that says, "We found each other."

Our meditation guide, sound healer, and DJ have all said yes! But this celebration only happens with your support. Donations are needed to open the doors. It's your time to say YES.

Thanks to a generous private donor, we were able to reach our first milestone: $2,750 to lock in the venue and date (Sept. 27!). But we still have a significant way to go.

Dollars raised will cover items such as the venue rental fee, facility fee, sound equipment, marketing, photography, and keeping ticket pricing low. Your contribution is what transforms our milestones into moments. In times of turmoil, coming together and creating joy has real impact. We did a thing. Let's celebrate.
