In celebration of the 10th Anniversary, Birthright AFRICA has launched a bold year-long campaign with one transformative goal: Raise $300,000 to fund 1,000 passports for 1,000 Birthright Scholars in the U.S. diaspora.

On June 24, 2026, the 10th Anniversary Celebrations kick off in NYC (stay tuned for a Diaspora City near you) and will serve as a rallying point for a movement that invites communities, partners, supporters, and change-makers to invest in the next generation of globally connected Black leaders.

For many young Black people, the distance between themselves and their ancestral homeland is more than geographic, it is historical, emotional, and deeply personal. Generations have grown up disconnected from the stories, traditions, languages, and lived experiences that shaped who they are.

At Birthright AFRICA, we believe reclaiming that connection can change lives.

A passport is more than a travel document. It is a key. A beginning. A declaration that every young person deserves the opportunity to explore their heritage, walk the land of their ancestors, and see themselves reflected in a global African story far greater than the narratives they have inherited.

This campaign is not simply about travel. It is about identity, belonging, and lasting connection.

Through immersive experiences, cultural exchange, and direct engagement with Black/African innovators, Birthright Scholars gain more than memories, they gain pride, confidence, and a deeper understanding of their future as global leaders. They return home not only inspired, but transformed. 100% of Birthright Alumni say their experience was life-changing!
