Join Latinos in Heritage Conservation for a Nuestra Herencia Grant Program Category Deep Dive!

This Category Deep Dive webinar will focus on the Project Planning category, which supports planning, research, documentation, and technical work that helps identify, evaluate, and preserve historic Latinx places.

LHC’s Historic Preservation department will share:

What makes a competitive Project Planning application

The importance of historic designations

Ways to identify and document historic Latinx sites

Our team will then be joined by a Nuestra Herencia Cycle 1 Project Planning grantee: Central American Historical and Ancestral Society of California. Co-Founder and Executive Director, Claudia Portillo, will share her experience researching and documenting sites in Los Angeles connected to Central American history.

To ensure accessibility, LHC is partnering with Cinco Rios Multilingual Initiatives to offer all Nuestra Herencia webinars in both English and Spanish via Zoom’s simultaneous interpretation feature. Attendees can select their preferred language during the call.

Webinars are FREE to attend, registration via Givebutter is required.
