In 2026, the Village of Mazon proudly celebrates its Sesquicentennial - 150 years of community, history, and hometown pride - and also joins the nationwide America250 celebrations marking 250 years of the Unites States.

To honor both milestones, we will be hosting a series of fundraising events leading up to our official celebration week, taking place August 2 through August 9, 2026. These events will bring our community together while helping us build something meaningful for the future.

Our Sesquicentennial Celebration Week will be filled with something for everyone, including:

Local history and commemorative moments
Family-friendly activities and children's games
Live music and entertainment
Food, fellowship, and community spirit

As part of this historic celebration, we will also:

Bury a time capsule to preserve memories for future generations
Plant a commemorative tree as a lasting symbol of growth and community. Tree graciously donated by Spring Grove Nursery.

All proceeds raised throughout this campaign and our events will go directly toward:

Replacing outdated park equipment
Supporting future park expansion projects

These improvements will ensure that the Village of Mazon continues to be a place where families gather, children play, and our community thrives for generations to come.
