The Gamma Tau Chapter was originally supposed to host convention for what would have been the 177th convention in summer of 2020 to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Sadly, due to COVID-19 the 2020 convention was cancelled, but we were given the opportunity to host in 2023 for what we are now calling our 50+3 anniversary.

Psi Upsilon Society of Georgia, or PUSOG, is the alumni association for the Gamma Tau chapter and alumni residing in Georgia. PUSOG also owns the undergrad chapter house at 831 Techwood Dr. Over the past year, the chapter house has had some unprecedented issues including all three AC units breaking during a record-breaking Atlanta heat last summer and a pipe burst over winter break causing flooding. Coupled with low donation levels and house residency throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, these expenses have drained the majority of funding set aside for hosting convention. We've already raised $4,500 during our spring Alumni Weekend and Tea Party fundraiser. We have a few more events including a Carnival and our annual PUSOG BBQ planned between now and convention to try and make up the funds. There are also donor rewards that we've introduced to encourage donations.

How is donating for convention different from paying PUSOG dues?
Annual Dues keep PUSOG up and running to support the chapter and maintain the chapter haus. Dues are $125 and give you discounts at PUSOG events and voting rights for PUSOG board elections and meetings.

What’s the status of fundraising?
We've already raised over $13,000 since the start of the year, and the PUSOG BBQ is our last fundraiser planned before the convention. Based on projected attendance, we expect the Friday and Saturday social events to cost PUSOG at least $16,000.

Why should I donate?
In addition to the warm fuzzy feeling you get when you do something nice, there are physical donor rewards available at certain tiers including a fez, sticker, shirt, and towel! Any amount you can donate will help to host a fun convention.

Should I attend the convention events?
YES! It will be a fun time for fellowship with brother’s all across the country. Friday night's social event is in the Klaus building featuring appetizers and a waffle bar from Atlanta's beloved Waffle House and tours will be given of campus and the chapter house. Saturday night’s social event is going to be down in little 5 points at the Mariana and include a buffet dinner from the Wrecking Bar's culinary team and two of the Brewpub's award-winning beers. Also if you pay PUSOG dues or donate over $183.30 to convention, you will get a discount code for $10 off tickets for Friday and Saturday night's convention events.
