Erin’s Journey to Success

Erin is a single mother of three. Not long ago, she fled her partner's substance abuse and violence. Fortunately, she and her children found refuge at Illumination Foundation's Bob Murphy House, where they finally felt safe.

Welcomed by compassionate staff, together, Erin and her children received shelter and renewed hope. Her case manager helped her stabilize her income, and Erin worked two jobs to support her children.

Encouraged by the staff, Erin enrolled in community college and now dreams of starting her own nonprofit to help others.

With a housing voucher, Erin moved her family into their own apartment after seven months, turning the key with tears of joy.

Erin is deeply thankful for the Illumination Foundation staff and continues to draw inspiration from those bonds.
