ChiTownBio is dedicated to putting the knowledge, skills, and tools of biotechnology into the hands of all Chicagoans who want to explore the living world and use it to benefit our community.

Since 2017, our organization has been hosting seminars, demos, nature walks, beach cleanups, and general discussions trying to get everyone in Chicago exctied about biotechnology. But now it's time to get people into the lab and experimenting. We want to create a home for biotechnologists of all sorts, whether that be citizen scientists, bioengineers with a great idea and simply the need for a place to get started, bioartists and biodesigners looking for a place to collaborte, hobbiests with a need for community, or simply the biologically curious. But our space is going to need a lot of work, and a lot of funding. Help us rally the resources of Chicagoland in our quest to get this lab off the ground and create a physical community of biotechnologists changing Chicago's future for the better.
