Blooming Kindness Spring Fundraiser: Support Our Mother’s Day Event

Every spring, 1in6 Support honors a group of mothers who are too often overlooked: caregivers of children with disabilities.

For many of these moms, Mother’s Day doesn’t look like it does for others. Their days are filled with complex care routines, medical appointments, advocacy, and the constant vigilance required to keep their children safe and thriving. As one mother shared last year, “People may think they understand, but they really don’t. Being with other moms who truly get it—that’s everything.”

Our Mother’s Day Event exists to turn that reality on its head. Local beauty and wellness professionals volunteer their time to offer hair styling, makeup, massages, and moments of rest. There’s music, laughter, and the rare gift of uninterrupted time in the company of other mothers who understand the journey intimately.

Instead of a day that passes quietly, or painfully, 1in6 Support plans this special Mother's Day event to honor mothers who give so much, every single day. And it’s all made possible because of supporters like you.
