On Saturday, August 15, 2026, communities across the country will gather at sunset to walk together in support of mental wellness, public safety, and care-centered alternatives to crisis response.

The 1M4 Sunset Walk is more than a fundraiser. It is a visible reminder that every family deserves safety, support, and access to compassionate care during life's most difficult moments.

1 Million Madly Motivated Moms (1M4) was founded on a simple but powerful belief: prevention is possible. Our mission is to end police violence in the United States by 2038 through education, advocacy, mental wellness initiatives, and community-based solutions.

Today, 1M4 helps families locate non-police crisis response options through The Right Response Directory, a national resource featuring more than 250 alternative response programs across 42 states. Thousands of individuals, families, advocates, and practitioners have used the directory to find support during mental health and behavioral health crises.

Every day, families face impossible decisions when a loved one is experiencing a mental health emergency. Many simply do not know that alternatives to law enforcement may exist in their community. Through education, storytelling, training, and resource development, 1M4 is working to change that reality.

Our collective fundraising goal is $5,000 to support 1M4's ongoing work connecting families to resources, expanding awareness of care-centered crisis response, and advancing prevention-focused public safety solutions.
