Pepper is deeply loyal, loving, silly and brave—but meeting new people can be overwhelming. She growls, lunges, and sometimes snaps. Her behavior issues can not be addressed because she's living with pain.

She's now being treated with medication, but a few weeks ago she was diagnosed with Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD), which causes painful joint inflammation and makes walking difficult. Her veterinary team has recommended a CT scan and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and support healing.

The CT scan and PRP injections, along with some thiroid tests for Pepper alone cost over $3,000. But we know that when our community comes together, even big goals are achievable. Every donation—big or small—helps transform fear into hope and gives dogs like Pepper a second chance.

Please give your year-end gift by midnight on December 31st.

Your year-end gift today provides:

Medical care: CT scan, PRP injections, and pain relief
Behavior support & training: Calm guidance to help dogs feel safe
Time to heal in foster care: A stable, loving environment for recovery

Any gifts beyond Pepper's expenses will be used to care for the other dogs in our care, including those from the Morton hoarding case who are now getting settled into their foster homes after being spayed and neutered.

Give today before the year ends and be the reason a scared dog finally feels safe, loved, and ready for a new beginning in 2026.
