The 2-4-1 Asics Blue Jean Mile is 2-4-1's commitment to the bigger mental health conversation. The Blue Jean Mile is a national movement to raise awareness and funds for mental health-related services. What started as a local tribute to our friend, Jason Hannigan, is now a fourth-annual celebration of community, resilience, and resources to support mental health in the Greater Hartford area.

At 2-4-1, we believe in the power of play to change lives. Our mission is simple: "We Put Play Back into Sports," using sport sampling and play-based programming to support social-emotional learning (SEL) and promote positive mental health for kids in underserved communities.

In the 2-4-1 Asics Blue Jean Mile, every step taken and every dollar raised directly helps children build resilience, develop leadership skills, and learn the skills to feel to how they want to feel. BJM is about showing up in your blue jeans, embracing the joy of movement, and running (or walking) alongside friends and neighbors to make a difference.

Our Goal:
This year, we aim to raise $30,000 to support programs that teach kids vital social-emotional learning skills through the play-filled power of sport. SEL is the foundation for mental wellness and success; it helps kids feel more resilient, connected, and self-aware, especially in times of stress and crisis. With your help, we can continue to offer these programs free of charge to multiple schools in Hartford, building on the generosity supporters of the 2-4-1 Asics Blue Jean Mile have shown since 2023.
