Haiti has been hit yet again by another catastrophe: a 7.2 magnitude Earthquake has hit Haiti on August 14, severely impacting the southern region of the country. Many houses, schools, and churches have been destroyed and thousands of lives lost.

Haiti Futur has been providing support to over 90 schools in that region and sadly we expect that many of these schools will need our help in rebuilding.

Join us in our effort to:

Support our team of technicians in their assessment of the extent of the damage to the schools in our network,
Rehabilitate some thirty schools before the start of the school year. We will
give priority to schools where the work can be carried out quickly in order to possibly be able to welcome, in the afternoon, students from nearby schools.
Provide guidelines and training for the incorporation of earthquake/hurricane resistant materials and practices in the repair and rebuilding of the schools.

Once again, we must bounce back by building better.

We have helped rebuild after Hurricane Matthew (see this video) and we can do it again! Let’s better our schools to withstand hurricanes and earthquakes and give Haitian children a bright future through consistent and quality education.
