As we emerge from the disruptive but instructive year of the pandemic, we are even more inspired and emboldened to chase the moonshot visions of Elizabeth Streb—to realize in new ways her dream of human flight, and to continue cultivating a community space whose tendrils reach out to encompass and engage the entire global community through a commitment to, and embodiment of our open access ethos.

From the magical MOLINETTE and whirling dervish of PLATESHIFT to the Human-sized hamster wheel and the flying machine - each action machine requires years of design, engineering, prototyping, iteration, and experimentation - and each machine can bring to life infinite possibilities of thrilling extreme action.

FROM BROOKLYN TO THE WORLD:

10 pledges of $2,500 will help us present 1 weekend of shows at SLAM and livestream them to the world.
Support all that goes into the production - from the dancers and the crew, to the technology and supply costs - to share more performances from Brooklyn to our global audience.

ELIZABETH STREB’S LEGACY:

10 pledges of $1,000 will help us digitize, organize and share 50 VHS tapes worth of gems from the archives.
We have hundreds of recordings in the archives containing gems that have inspired us and our fans on social media over the past year when we were forced online. They are now inspiring the future. Help us preserve and share this legacy!

GET US TO THE PILLOW:

10 pledges of $500 will help us pay for 1 week of dancer salaries to help us mount a new show to bring to the legendary Jacob’s Pillow Festival this summer.
We prepared the space and created protocols to safely begin rehearsal. But remounting a brand new show with 8 pieces which haven’t been remounted in decades requires practice, practice, practice!

STRENGTHENING OUR FUTURE:

10 pledges of $250 will provide scholarships for 5 students to study at STREB for the year. Help us introduce and inspire the next generation of Action Heroes by making our classes available to all.

DEEPEN OUR PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE COMMUNITY:

10 pledges of $100 will support the cost of bringing one public school class to a show.

FRESH AIR, NUTS AND BOLTS:

20 pledges of $50 will help us keep our HVAC system supplied with Merv-13 filters, and ensure that our toolkit is stocked to tend to our hardware needs.
