Each year, O.L.A. has applicants who would love to participate in the Ottumwa Leadership Academy that do not have funding to do so. In 2016, the Ottumwa Leadership Academy Alumni set up a scholarship to help more people attend the program. The Ugly Sweater Fundraiser is one way the Alumni Association raises money for the scholarship. The Ugly Sweater Participant that raises the most funds wins.
